“We’ve Got Rhythm” promises an afternoon of high energy music as the ESO presents a program of animated Latin melodies in a family concert that will please audiences of all ages.  Members of the Elmhurst Dance Theater of the DuPage Dance Academy will bring George Gershwin’s Cuban Overture to life, and the ESO, under the baton of Music Director and Conductor Stephen Alltop, will play Arturo Márquez’s Danzón No. 2, Milhaud's Le Bouef sur le toit (The Bull on the Roof), and Heitor Villa-Lobos’ Bachianas Basileiras No. 9.  Maestro Alltop’s explanations of the music and his interaction with the audience adds to what will be an engaging and entertaining musical experience that will delight you!

An instrument “petting zoo,” from 1:45 to 2:45 pm, sponsored by Luscome Music, offers a hands-on opportunity to try the different instruments of the orchestra, along with other activities especially for children.
