Well respected on both screen and stage for the best part of 25 years, Brian Dennehy will provide the narration for for two remarkable works. Just as the words of Abraham Lincoln live so magnificently in Copland's majestic "A Lincoln Portrait," Schwantner's "New Morning for the World" is a thrilling and moving composition based on the powerful speeches of Martin Luther King, Jr. Rounding out the program will be Copland's pristine suite from "Appalachian Spring"and violin phenom and Stanger Young Artist Audition Winner, Joshua Brown performing Waxman's "Carmen".
