Biography

James “Jim” Bushy joined the Elmhurst Symphony Association Board of Directors in August 2023. James brings nine years experience managing, leasing, selling commercial office properties/portfolios for institutional owners CIGNA, Equitable, and TIAA-CREF; Eleven years selling services, information, and infrastructure to property ownership and management groups, leading the nation at two companies; and three years in the automotive industry in an executive capacity. James has been insurance licensed since 2016, and currently works with the New York Life protecting families, securing wealth, and guaranteeing retirement income. Jim’s hobbies include art (he is a commissioned, galleried abstract artist - modified acrylic), construction, woodworking, and DIY projects. A former youth coach (swimming, football, and baseball), he has taught church youth programs and Sunday School for 21 years.
