Violinist Robin Sackschewsky gives us the scoop on her involvement with the ESO and her musical background...
How long have you played with ESO?
I started playing with ESO in 2012.
What instrument do you play and how did you gravitate to that instrument?
I play violin with ESO. I started when I was 3 years old in a Suzuki program in Mt. Prospect. Both of my parents were passionate amateur musicians and wanted me and my brothers to all play instruments together as a family.
What piece is on your bucket list to play with ESO and why?
I would LOVE to play Schubert's 9th Symphony. This symphony exemplifies the early Romantic era so well. Every movement has amazing melodies and he is able to develop these ideas so well. I also think Schubert's music always has a driving forward motion and takes the listener on a beautiful journey.
